About me

Jessie Murphy here, making this webpage little by little, during nap times and after bedtimes. I am a stay at home mom, who last year moved from St. Louis MO to Southeastern MN with my husband and two daughters. My mom and her dog moved up and in with us 6 months after we moved up here.
There have been plenty of growing pains so far but it has been good.
Anyyywho.
I made this page back in 2020 but never really used it, Life got so overwhelming and I felt like I was in survival mode. I have finally gotten some moments to myself so i decided it was time to put some effort into updating this site.
My goal with my website is to move away from social media but still have a place to share my writing, art, creations, and life updates with others.

P.S. This site is a work in progress. It will not look or be "perfect" because I am not perfect and it is a reflection of me-chaotic, messy, creative, and forever evolving.

Thank you for being here <3

Beyond the Aloe Vera-Our Story
“Beyond the Aloe Vera”
One day I was at the laundromat with a couple of my girl friends and we were goofing around and one of us peaked around an aloe vera plant that they had there and said “Today on beyond the aloe vera”like we were hosting our own show. My best friend and I continued this on for years making snap chat videos here and there when we’d go on best friend adventures. Each time we’d start by saying “Today on beyond the Aloe vera…”- (“Today on beyond the aloe vera we are going to goodwill, Today on beyond the aloe Vera we are going to jiffy lube to get an oil change, today on BTAV we are getting our faces painted, etc).
We even got best friend aloe vera plants- Vera and Wang. She had vera and killed her almost immediately (lol she will laugh that i included this tid bit). I have wang (he is about 8ish-i think- years old)-and while Wang has been through some hard times he is doing great and even has a lil bebe growing.
The aloe plant has shown up during some transformational times in my life and at this stage of my life, for me, it's more about who is beyond the aloe vera, who is helping it grow.
So thank you to those in my life who have helped/are helping me grow.
If you are like “you still haven’t told us what this site is!”. This site is a place for me to show up as myself. To bring a little bit of me into the world.
A place to:
share my stories
showcase my love for art and creating
Online shop for homemade items and thrift finds
Make spotify playlists and get back to listening to music (I haven’t really listened to much music since 2020)
Again, Thank you for being here!
